This week, sticks, leaves, and rocks will be the building blocks for the biggest, strongest, most beautiful forts in the forest. Just like real architects, our young builders will construct miniature models of forts with twigs before teaming up to bring them to life. If your camper is always looking for ways to build the cities of their dreams, we will build it all this week. With some expertly tied rope and some super-strong sticks, could we even build a raised platform?We’ll take breaks from construction to practice whittling and knot-tying to take our forts to the next level.
When we leave the construction site, we'll include classic Schoolhouse activities such as: morning and closing circle, water time (weather permitting), forest and field games, whittling, storytelling, and searching for forest creatures.
