Discount Examples

Schoolhouse of Wonder offers several discounts on our camps. Find out more about our multi-camp and sibling discounts below. We understand that it can get a little complicated when you’re adding different camps for different children. The good news is that the discounts automatically apply, so you don’t need to get too into the math side of things.

It is possible to receive both of these discounts on the same order, but it is not possible to receive both of these discounts on the same camp. Please note that discounts apply automatically, and will be applied to any qualifying orders made with the same account.

Sibling Discount:

We love having siblings in camp! When you sign up one child for a full-week of camp (a “qualifier week”), you’ll receive a $25 discount for one full-week of camp for any sibling(s). This discount applies to full weeks of camp only (5 days).

     Examples of Sibling Discounts

     Heather – Caterpillar (full-week camp) = $324 [qualifier week]
     Alex – Cricket (full-week camp) = $299 ($324 – $25)
     Order Total = $623
Any additional siblings would also receive a sibling discount for one full-week camp.

Or it could look like this:
     Heather – Caterpillar (full-week camp) = $324 [qualifier week #1]
     Alex – Cricket (full-week camp) = $299 ($324 – $25)
     Heather – Otter (full-week camp) = $309 ($324 – $15 multi-camp discount)
     Alex – Salamander (full-week camp) = $299 ($324 – $25)
     Order Total = $1231

Multi-Camp Discount:

Did you add a camp to your cart? Did you add another? You will automatically receive a $15 discount off the cost of a second and any additional camp seat purchased in the same camp season (that don’t qualify for the sibling discount).  This could apply to one child signing up for several camps, siblings signing up for partial-week camps or Discovery Days, or many other combinations. This discount can apply to full-week camps, partial-week camps, and Discovery Days.

     Examples of Multi-Camp Discounts

     Juan – Caterpillar (full-week camp) = $324
     Juan – Cricket (full-week camp) = $309 ($324 – $15)
     Order Total = $633

Or it could look like this:
     Juan – Caterpillar (full-week camp) = $324
     Juan – Discovery Day (1-day program) = $69 ($84 – $15)
     Order Total = $383

Or it could look like this:
     Juan – Raccoon (partial-week camp)= $195 (partial-week camp rate)
     Maria – Discovery Day (1-day program) = $69 ($84 – $15)
     Order Total = $264

Discount Combinations

It is possible to receive both of these discounts on the same order, but it is not possible to receive both of these discounts on the same camp. Discounts should automatically apply, but if you’re interested in the nitty gritty there are some math problems below.

Example 1 (all on same order):

     Simba – Caterpillar (full-week camp) = $324 [qualifier week]
     Pumbaa – Cricket (full-week camp) = $299 ($324 – $25 sibling discount)
     Timon – Discovery Day (1-day program) = $69 ($84 – $15 multi-camp discount)
      Order Total = $692
If Timon signed up for a full week of camp instead of a Discovery Day, he would’ve received a sibling discount instead of the multi-camp discount.
Also, we know that these three aren’t really siblings.

Example 2 (all on same order):

     Bart – Caterpillar (full-week camp) = $324 [qualifier week]
     Lisa – Cricket (full-week camp) = $299  ($324 – $25 sibling discount)
     Maggie – Cricket (full-week camp) = $299  ($324 – $25 sibling discount)
     Lisa – Discovery Day (1-day program) =$69 ($84 – $15 multi-camp discount)
     Order Total = $991
Any additional Discovery Days or partial-week camps would receive a multi-camp discount.
Any additional full-week camps would need another qualifier week before sibling discounts applied.

Example 3: This one is complicated.

     Dora – Caterpillar (full-week camp) = $324 [qualifier week #1]
     Guillermo – Cricket (full-week camp) = $299 ($324 – $25 sibling discount)
     Isabella – Toad (full-week camp) = $299 ($324 – $25 sibling discount)

At this point in the order, Guillermo and Isabella have both received their sibling discount related to qualifier week #1.

     Dora – Fern (full-week camp) = $309 ($324 – $15 multi-camp discount) [qualifier week #2]
     Isabella – Fern (full-week camp) = $299 ($324 – $25 sibling discount)
     Guillermo – Discovery Day = $69 ($84 – $15 multi-camp discount)

At this point, Isabella used her sibling discount related to qualifier week #2, but Guillermo has not.

     Isabella – Raccoon (full-week camp) = $299 ($324 – $15 multi-camp discount) [qualifier week #3]
     Guillermo – Raccoon (full-week camp) = $299 ($324 – $25 sibling discount)

This camp for Guillermo could be qualified by week #2 or #3. Dora didn’t use her week #3 discount.

In this example, there are three qualifier weeks which means two siblings qualify for three weeks of sibling discounts (off of full-week camps). Isabella and Guillermo have both used two sibling discounts. Guillermo could sign up for an additional week and receive a sibling discount. Dora could also sign up for another week-long camp and receive a sibling discount related to qualifier week #3.
