The next Family Adventure is…
Come join us to support one of our newest partners at the Triangle Land Conservancy’s Annual Membership Day celebration. Meet us out at Brumley Forest Nature Preserve and enjoy old-timey games, whittling activities, and primitive fire demonstrations from Schoolhouse staff.
Live music will be provided by the Barred Owls, so bring a chair and come enjoy the autumn changes behind the scenes at Brumley. Find out the latest of what TLC has been working on, mingle with members and staff, and learn about some special new projects and partnerships that your support makes possible!
Please note this event is free but only open to TLC members (join here!).
Price: Free to all TLC Members
Dates: Sunday, October 15th, 2017
Time: 1:00p – 3:00p
Ages: All Ages Welcome!
Location: Brumley Forest Nature Preserve – Service Entrance, 3323 Old State Highway 10, Chapel Hill, NC 27514 (this is not the normal public entrance or the normal Schoolhouse entrance)
Every week, we hear a parent bemoan the fact that they have to head to work when they’d rather be heading into the woods with us!
Well, now you can!
A few times each year, Schoolhouse offers a weekend adventure for the entire family — a few glorious hours when kids and adults can play, explore, and learn new skills together. Each session will introduce and provide supported practice opportunities with a family-friendly naturalist skill or activity, ranging from archery to nature art. We are so excited to bring our Family Adventure Series to Brumley Forest!
