Home School Adventure Days

We know that you’re committed to creating an incredible and unique learning environment for your child, and we want to help. Why not end the school week with an adventure! Home School Adventure Days offer extraordinary opportunities to learn about ourselves, each other, and the world around us — while having a blast.

Whether playing in a meadow or deep woods games, practicing wilderness skills, exploring the river, or sharing stories and songs around the campfire, Adventure Days spark imaginations and ignite passions.

Homeschool Adventure Days at-a-Glance

  • $45 per day
  • Camp Day: 10a-4p
  • Check In: 10a-10:15a
  • Pick Up: 4p-4:15p

Activities will vary seasonally but may include:

  • Games
  • Fire building techniques
  • Imaginative play and learning
  • Campfire cooking
  • Animal tracking
  • Map-making and orienteering
  • Creating community spaces in the natural world
  • Artistic investigations of the natural world
  • Scientific investigations of the natural world

Location

Home School Adventure Days take place at the Carl Alwin Schenk Memorial Forest in Raleigh, NC 27607. The forest does not have a street address, but it is off Reedy Creek Road near where Wade Avenue and Edward Mills Road intersect. If you enter “Carl Alwin Schenk Memorial Forest” in your GPS, this should lead you to the right place.

Discounts

Unless otherwise noted, Home School Adventure Days are eligible for a multiple purchase discount when you register for two or more with the same payment (for siblings or shared household only). At checkout you will automatically receive this $15 discount off the cost of the second and any additional Schoolhouse programs purchased.

Minimum Enrollment

10 students. A minimum of 10 students must sign up at least one week prior to each Adventure Day in order for the program to run. If an Adventure Day is canceled due to low enrollment, we will hold a credit for up to one year or refund your money immediately.

Another Great Option for Home-Schooled Groups
