Cottontail, cottontail, hopping down the Brumley trail! Our Cottontail campers had a fantastic week as they got to explore the forests, fields, and creek spots at Brumley Forest. Games were a highlight of the week with campers finding three magical objects in Scout Mission, pulling tails and stealing feathers in Six Feathers, and hurling socks at each other in Sock Wars. Creek time was a favorite for many campers, especially The Deep Spot – a new creek location for nearly all of the campers. Creek time was filled with campers who liked to splash around, dunk bodies, belly flop, catch crayfish, get muddy, and skip rocks. They even got to see (and touch!) a Northern water snake! Whittling and storytelling filled any remaining time, as campers heard about how the turtle and coyote came to be the way they are.
