Schoolhouse of Wonder provides award-winning outdoor day camps, teen service and leadership training, and field trips for young people throughout the Triangle. But we’re much more than a place where kids get outside and have fun. Schoolhouse is a place where each person can play, learn, and grow toward being their best selves!

Year-Round Outdoor Day Camps

Available in Durham, Wake, & Orange Counties

Schoolhouse camps are a unique combination of fun and growth, giving kids the opportunity to make lasting friendships, develop lifelong skills, and connect with nature. Our low camper-to-staff ratio allows a sense of freedom and adventure while providing a nurturing and supportive environment.

Summer Outdoor Day Camps for 4- to 12-year-olds

Week-long summer camps for children Pre-K (limited), 5–6 year olds, 7–9 year olds, and 10–12 year olds. Our campers participate in a wide range of activities, from outdoor exploration and adventure to nature arts and crafts, music, and more. We believe in the power of play and creativity to inspire learning and growth, and our campers have the opportunity to try new things, take risks, and discover new passions.

School Break Camps are scheduled on teacher work days, holidays, track-outs, intersessions, and other days when school is out. September through May — week-long, single day, or half day — we’ve got you covered.

Schoolhouse of Wonder provides unique opportunities for 13- to 16-year-olds to feel confident, secure, and imaginative as they continue to discover who they are and what they’re capable of achieving. Our mentors help teens learn to hear their own voice, discover their own leadership style, and build their capacity to lead people of all ages.

Field Trips

Available at West Point on the Eno location only

Schoolhouse of Wonder offers curriculum-aligned field trips for kindergarten through sixth grade students at our West Point on the Eno location. Each fall and spring, our day-long field trip experiences bring classroom concepts to life through active outdoor learning in a variety of environmental education and cultural history topics.
