Our Growth Rings: Primitive Skills campers hiked, played, splashed, and developed their survival skills this week. Whether learning to identify plants and trees, practicing the basics of fire-building, honing their whittling skills, or learning critical differences in native snakes, the campers enjoyed all that Brumley Forest has to offer. They saw animals like turkey vultures, butterflies, snakes, caterpillars, and crayfish. They also played a themed game of Scout Mission where they had to find the magic snake, magic wooden knife, and magic fire cloth.
