Questions to Ask Your Outdoor Explorers Camper – Thursday

If you’re wondering what your camper has been up to this week, here are some questions to get the conversation started…

  • On Wednesday, the highlight of the day was creek time. The kids created waterfalls using different objects to shape the water. What were some things used? (Feet, rocks, pinecones, etc.) How was the flow of water affected by different objects? What were some animals you saw? (crayfish, newts, and some small fish) How big was the biggest crayfish?
  •  At the beginning of the week, we built two forts. They each developed their own world. Today the two forts learned to work together and even developed trade routes, currency, and a whole economy! Were there passwords to enter the fort? Was there food served in the forts? (This was imaginary food like pinecones, twigs, and acorns.) What part did you play in the forts?
  • Today, we went to explore a new place with a small rocky hill and a large fallen tree. We all had a lot of fun exploring and even ate lunch there. What did we name this site? (11 Quartz). What game did you play at 11 Quartz?
