Our campers had a frightfully fun week out at Harris Lake County Park, doing everything from building monsters to learning about fire to finding native critters! We kicked off the week with some gardening work at Schoolhouse of Wonder’s adopted garden where campers and counselors worked with park staff to tend a small plot. We painted and carved pumpkins, and even cooked up the pumpkin seeds over our campfire. Campers learned how to build fires and the importance of respecting fire. We found a bunch of critters, including frogs and toads, and even a rough green snake! We played games and whittled and had a wonderful time enjoying every moment of our shortening days together. Take a look at our photo gallery to catch a glimpse of our week.
