We took our basic fort-building skills to a whole new level in Wild Huts this fall! From learning lashing and knots to building our very own raised platform, these kids did everything fort related and more. Of course, not without some yummy campfire goodies and hanging out in the river!
This week, campers went on an imaginative adventure where they were able to choose activities based on their choices in a week-long interactive story. Our story this week was based around an emergency crash landing in the Canadian wilderness. Not to worry, we had plenty of time for games, explorations, and fort-building. We were so busy we barely had time to pause to take photos!
We had a blast this week hurling, throwing, and launching all sorts of projectiles! The campers got to try out tomahawks, atlatls with spears, archery, and corn darts. When we were not practicing our skills with projectiles, we had a great time playing games and exploring the river!
Whether we were making up new games or playing our classic Schoolhouse favorites, we sure did have a ton of fun this week! Campers learned about what makes a game fun, fair, playable, and AWESOME!!! They even ended the week by testing out a new game that was an instant hit. Could these games become Schoolhouse classics of the future? Only time will tell!
