This week our campers had a great time making bamboo-based instruments! Along with making our own musical rhythms, we spent time listening to the calls and songs of our native birds. This group also loved fort building and worked together to create a village, complete with an economic system of sticks, leaves and quartz rocks. Check out these photographs to see all of our creations!

This week our group got to try their hands at numerous exciting activities. The highlights included boating, fishing, atl atls, and archery! When not trying out these traditional sports, this group loved finding the beautiful critters that live at Harris Lake County Park. They found frogs, salamanders, turtles, and beetles. Our group also helped out the park by clearing some areas of invasive Japanese stilt grass. We hope you enjoy the pictures as much as we enjoyed our week!
