Our curious and observant Bluebird campers had a wonderful week exploring nature. They sang songs and heard stories while they hiked to different places along the creek, visiting many different water spots. They played games like Firekeeper and Beckon and they participated in unique activities like building birds’ nests, learning to use binoculars, and going on an insect scavenger hunt. It was a fun and exciting week!
Ribbit, chirp, tra-la-la…it’s the sounds of summer! Our Summer Songs campers had a delightful week of listening to the tunes of nature and joining in with some of their own. Whether learning frog calls, sitting quietly at “sit spots,” or creating new fun songs, these kids really lived up to their theme this week. When not singing along to the songs of summer, the campers rounded out their week by playing Schoolhouse classics like Kick the Can and Scout Mission and spent some time each day cooling off in the creek where they caught critters like snakes and crayfish.
