Our Treehugger campers lived up to their name this week, spending the week learning about native trees, making nature journals featuring trees, creating leaf rubbings, and even adopting their very own trees on Thursday. They also did some eclipse-viewing, learned a bit about map-making, and had the opportunity to make necklaces to help them remember their adopted trees. They saw a bunch of critters including a northern water snake, frogs, and crayfish, and spent some down time working on their whittling skills. We did, of course, make time for some classic Schoolhouse games like Scout Mission, Windigo, and Six Feathers. It was a tree-riffic week!
