Description
This week we will settle into the forest as we build a little village of our own in the woods! We'll work throughout the week to make shelters that are strong and sturdy, even in poor weather. We'll use hand drills, saws and knives, twine, and other rudimentary tools to create solid foundations, stable walls, and impenetrable roofs. Between building, we can relax in our shelters, play games in the surrounding woods, and cool off in the creek!
*In addition to the theme-related activities listed above, every week of camp may include some classic Schoolhouse activities such as: morning and closing circle, water time, deep woods and field games, whittling, storytelling, and of course, looking for any critters we can find!
