Description
Whether it's just for fun or for wilderness survival, shelter-building is an important skill. This week, campers will choose the best spots for their shelters, gather natural materials to build them, and even try to waterproof them. We’ll also get a chance to practice building shelters with tarps and try our hand at some basic knots. Maybe we can build a shelter big enough for everybody!
In addition to the theme-related activities listed above, every week of camp may include some classic Schoolhouse activities such as: morning and closing circle, water time, deep woods and field games, whittling, storytelling, and of course, looking for any critters we can find!
