Description

Follow the flow of the creek as we spend the week exploring Umstead’s hidden waterways. Each day brings new adventures as campers wade through cool streams, search for crawfish and tadpoles using nets, and uncover secret spots few others get to see. We will find the best rocks for skipping and eat lunch with a creek view. With so much time spent in the stream, campers should come prepared with sturdy water shoes and a change of clothes each day.

In addition to these theme-related activities listed above, every week of camp may include some classic Schoolhouse activities such as: morning and closing circle, water time, deep woods and field games, whittling, storytelling, and of course, looking for any critters we can find!
