West Point on the Eno

West Point on the Eno City Park – Important Summer Update!

West Point holds a special place in the hearts of many as the original Schoolhouse location. An incredible 400-acre park located in north Durham, it combines the amazing Eno River, miles of hiking trails, cherished base camps and secret spots, and an incredible history.

Spring 2026: Main Entrance

Our spring 2026 camps will run out of our traditional location, using the main entrance parking lot for drop off and pick up.

Summer 2026: Environmental Education Pavilion

With some significant construction projects on the south side of the park, our 2026 summer camp programs will run out of the Environmental Education Pavilion parking lot, located just north of the main entrance.

Sandy Creek Park

Sandy Creek Park camps begin near the main parking lot.

This 100-acre location offers a brand new backdrop for adventure and exploration of mixed forest and unique wetlands ecosystems. Sandy Creek Park is conveniently located off of 15-501, around 10 minutes from downtown Durham and 20 minutes from Southpoint Mall. 

Slocum Camp at Hill Forest

Slocum Camp programs are located less than 10 minutes north of Bahama and 20 minutes north of West Point on the Eno.

Our new location at Slocum Camp is a truly outstanding backdrop for unforgettable summer adventures. From upland woodlands to stream banks, campers can explore a wide range of ecosystems, observe wildlife and habitats across very different conditions, and of course get dirty, tired, and happy in this  2,690-acre landscape.

Brookhaven Nature Park

Brookhaven Nature Park is the perfect setting for a fun and engaging experience for our younger campers. With its easy-to-follow trails, towering forests, and peaceful pond, this location offers a slightly smaller environment for children to explore and connect with nature.

Schenck Forest is nestled just a short drive from downtown Raleigh. This 245-acre hidden gem features miles of trails and diverse ecosystems from hardwood forests to wetlands and creeks, providing a perfect sport for adventurous campers to build forts, hike, and explore. New for 2026, this location will offer camp for all age groups and CITs!

Loblolly

Umstead State Park — Loblolly

Our Loblolly location is conveniently located off of I-40 in Umstead State Park between Raleigh, Cary, and Durham. Programs at this location enjoy drop off and pick up out of the main parking lot, the convenience of plumbing in the park bathrooms, and a bit more hiking. The slightly farther hikes lead our campers to amazing basecamps, natural wonders, and water spots in this gorgeous forest.

Whispering Pines

Umstead State Park — Whispering Pines

Our Whispering Pines location is also conveniently located off of  I-40 in Umstead State Park between Raleigh, Cary, and DurhamPrograms at this location have an additional 5–10 minute drive once they enter this park. Although a bit more rustic than Loblolly (portapotties), the basecamps and creek locations are a bit closer together. Come find a marbled salamander or jack-in-the-pulpit!

Brumley Forest

Brumley Forest Nature Preserve: Private Entrance

Brumley Family Nature Preserve offers more than 600 acres to explore at our most rustic site. A diverse landscape of mature hardwood forests, young pine groves, streams and creeks creates a rich habitat for wildlife and a picturesque setting for exploration. Located in western Orange County, just 4 miles southeast of Hillsborough and 10 miles north of Chapel Hill.
