The Cedar Circle
Since Schoolhouse’s founding in 1989, our staff and program participants have gathered in circles to do cedar smudging. This tradition helps to center us, inspire us, support us, and readies us to connect with the natural world and with those in the circle. It’s only fitting that our sustaining volunteer group be called The Cedar Circle.
Starting in 2025, The Cedar Circle will be a group of Schoolhouse supporters dedicated to sustaining The Schoolhouse Way. These volunteers will work closely with Schoolhouse staff to ensure that our traditions are maintained alongside necessary and sustainable growth. These are our story keepers, fundraisers, donors, special program supporters, and friends.
