This week of camp was dedicated to finding adventure, and we did! The beautiful fall weather led us to plenty of animals including a river cooter (turtle), two box turtles, a red spotted newt, a rabid wolf spider carrying her babies (don’t worry, she’s harmless), and plenty of crayfish and clams. We were lucky to have a freshly downed tree provide us with plenty of wood for whittling and making bows and arrows. Our adventuring wouldn’t have been complete without learning about maps & compasses, exploring new areas of Brumley Forest, and practicing our slack-line skills. Games were a hit, especially our multi-day saga of The Sailors versus Grey Beard. We had a great time and hope you’ll check out our photos to learn more about our week!
