2024 Camp and CIT Orientations
Join us to learn more about what a camp day at Schoolhouse will be for your camper or CIT. We will share general information about how to prepare and what to expect as well as answering any questions you may have. If you cannot make it to either an in person or virtual event but want the information, please indicate that you would like to receive a recording of the virtual orientation. We will have staff there to entertain any kids who can join us; please share their information below so we can make sure we have enough staff. In-person orientations will run 6:00 to 7:15pm unless otherwise noted below. Virtual orientations will be from 7:00 to 8:00pm — you will be sent a join link after you RSVP.

Forts, Fletchings, and Flying Objects Photo Gallery
This week campers had a chance to try their hand at many different projectiles including spears, bow and arrows, and hatchets! When they weren’t launching projectiles they were searching for turtles and snakes, playing games, and whittling.

Science of the Sun Photo Gallery
This week we learned about the sun through cooking, art, and even experiencing the Solar Eclipse! We cooked smores in solar ovens, made pin hole viewers for the eclipse, and made sun print art. When we weren’t experimenting with solar power, you could find us exploring new creek spots, building mega forts, and playing lots of silly games.

Creatures & Critters Photo Gallery
Come rain or shine, we had a great time! Campers learned about animal scat, made their own birdfeeders, and played lots of games! We even got a chance to warm up by the fire, made our own butter and popcorn, and even had an incredible talent show!

Pioneers in the Park Photo Albums
We traveled back in time during this Early Americans themed week! We learned about life on the frontier, tried our hand at some of the games that pioneer children loved to play, and churned homemade butter. We discovered the joy of working with our hands by practicing our whittling skills and created our very own thaumatropes. Each day was packed with good old-fashioned fun!
