June 8-12: Creation and Exploration & Flora and Fauna Finders Photo Gallery
During the first week of summer, our 7–12 year olds team up to tackle the wilderness through a mashup of creation and exploration, finding flora and fauna. Our days flew by as we found crawfish in the creek, box turtles between the trees, and fun times in the forest! Oh, and watch out for the sponges!

We experience the magic and wonder of nature through creativity and play! This fun-filled week for our youngest campers was a wonderful introduction to experiencing the outdoors. Together we got to know the native trees and plants that call Brumley Nature Preserve home. Campers explored big trees, found berries, and made flower crowns.

Experience the magic and wonder of nature through creativity and play! This fun-filled week for our youngest campers was a wonderful introduction to experiencing the outdoors. This week was all about play and laughter as we followed the curious Otter! Campers explored Stoney Creek, slid down the muddy banks, and worked together to build “otter dens” while learning about life along the water’s edge.
June 15-19: Projectiles Pandemonium! Photo Gallery
This week was all about projectiles! From tomahawks, to spears and atlatls, to bows and arrows, we learned to use projectile weapons in a way that was safe, responsible, and effective. We also used whittling and other tools and techniques to make projectiles of our own!
June 15-19: Let the Games Begin! Photo Gallery
Nothing says Schoolhouse like a week full of games! We’ll played all kinds of games this week, learned exciting new games, and revisited some of the games we know and love. Nothing beats a good game of Werewolf, or Six Feathers, or so many other games.
