This week, campers put their building skills to the test! Campers built Nature Boats out of natural materials found in the area. They tested their boats to see if they could successfully float their boats down the creek. Throughout the week, campers played fun games and enjoyed time in the water.

This week was a combination of nature art and fort building. We discussed the history of nature art and showed the campers some pieces for inspiration. After making some art pieces of their own, the campers worked together to build their forts. The staff demonstrated lashing techniques and provided helpful fort-building tips. The whole camp gathered materials from around the park such as dead vines, pretty rocks, and shells for decorations. The end result was some functional and awesome-looking forts!
