We took our basic fort-building skills to a whole new level in Wild Huts this fall! From learning lashing and knots to building our very own raised platform, these kids did everything fort related and more. Of course, not without some yummy campfire goodies and hanging out in the river!

This week we spent every morning playing classic Schoolhouse games, each requiring running, hiding, and teamwork. After a morning of games, this group loved exploring the tributaries and creeks of Umstead. They spent hours catching critters, building dams, and making mud creations.
