This week we took a closer look at our favorite parts of having camp in Brumley Forest including mud for art from the creek, sticks for whittling from the trees, and friends from all over.

The Hawks this week became a flock as they worked together to build forts, find critters and collect all the feathers in one of our favorite games, Six Feathers! We also spent our afternoons cooling off in the creek and making new friends.

This camp week was filled with adventures all over the Eno River. We visited classic swim spots like Jumping Rock and Sennet’s Hole. We went for a float down the river all the way to the dam. Trees are a key ingredient to forests like West Point on the Eno. In this tree-themed week, we climbed trees, hid behind trees, and did our best tree poses. We made grass crowns and little villages.

At Scales, Tails & Feathers we saw lots of animals throughout the week. We played games, built animal houses, and cooled down in the creek.
