We’re excited to introduce you to our newest location in Wake County – Whispering Pines! This beautiful location in Umstead State Park allows us to double capacity and engage twice as many campers in Wake County. This summer we’ll simultaneously operate at our usual location (Umstead Amphitheater) and this additional, new location (Umstead Whispering Pines). […]
Bird’s Eye View campers experienced some of the best views in the park, expanded on their knowledge of birds, designed their own eggs, embarked on a scavenger hunt, tree climbed, and played a great game of 6 feathers.
This camp may have only been 3 days, but they had 5 days worth of fun. Coyote campers worked on whittling projects, played games like Kick The Can, created some nature art, and found lots of critters both in and out of the water. Their favorite critters were the baby turtles they found!
Catfish camp took their aquatic name very seriously! They spent loads of time in the water discovering the critters that live there. They also designed their own fish, made some aquatic inspired nature art, played an epic game of Kick The Can, and enjoyed some folktales.
This group of campers worked on and earned growth rings, enjoyed some “spa time” in the creek, played woodland games, made some new friends, and found a bunch of critters!
