This week in camp we sharpened our skills at whittling (pun intended) and primitive fire-making. Some campers tried their hand at whittling a flat-sided object, a butter knife, and a spoon. Others may have attempted to light a small, one-match fire or tried lighting kindling with the quartz and steel striking technique. Along with these activities we listened to stories, some kind of spooky, and some pretty silly. We also played a few classic Schoolhouse games, like Windigo and Six Feathers. Here are just a few photos of our time together.
