June 30 – July 3: Game Changers Photo Gallery
Once upon a time, Schoolhouse campers created a whole new world of fun! We played our most beloved games this week and brainstormed our own. We told legends, practiced our hiding skills, and ran faster than any campers have run before. When we put our heads together, we can do anything!

June 30 – July 3: Paddle Palooza Photo Gallery
We kicked off our paddling camps this summer with a Paddle Palooza! In this exciting camp, we learned to paddle stand-up paddle boards & canoes by practicing different techniques and playing silly games on the water. We explored the lake, looked for natural treasures on the shores, and saw what animals we could find. When we were not on the water we had a chance for classic Schoolhouse activities like fort building, whittling, and games.

June 30 – July 3: Chirp Photo Gallery
This week really flew by! We took birdbaths in the creek, searched for bugs, practiced making our own giant nests, and even climbed a big fallen tree! We played games to practice chasing down prey and camouflaging in the forest. It truly was an egg-celent week!

June 30 – July 3: Old Timey Talents (Group 1: Lead Linda Cate) Photo Gallery
Everything old is new again! This week we hopped into the wayback machine as we honed our homesteading skills. From making butter to throwing spears, weaving mini tapestries to whittling, our campers were able to discover and develop some new (old-timey) talents!

June 30 – July 2: Fawn Photo Gallery
This fun-filled week was a wonderful introduction to experiencing the outdoors. Like a fawn learning the ways of the woods, we engaged our senses to explore the forest and have a deeper appreciation for the world around us! Games like Camouflage and Deer Ears were just a few of the deer-like games that we played.

June 30 – July 2: Crafty & Sly Photo Gallery
For centuries, humans have been inspired to create artistic renditions of the natural world. This week, we looked at our forest as not just a beautiful landscape, but also as a place that provides us with artistic tools. We created unique masterpieces (and messes!) using materials from the forest such as clay, leaves, twigs, rocks, pinecones, acorns, quartz rocks and more! We also looked for ways to be crafty and sly while playing with honor in the many Schoolhouse games that we play.

June 30 – July 2: PhENOmenal Forts Photo Gallery
This camp week combine nature art and fort building for the ultimate creative challenge! We fueled our creativity as we gathered inspiration and ideas from the world of the forest. We learned advanced fort-building designs and techniques that include raised platforms and lashing. Gathering natural materials from the park such as pine needles, rocks, and even shells for decoration, campers worked together to build phenomenal forts of all sizes and shapes!
