Whether wading in the river or tiptoeing through the forest, finding tracks and animals is no small feat. Our campers searched high and low, turning over rocks and listening for animal calls, and their hard work paid off! We found microinvertebrates in the creeks, scat, and tracks on the forest floor, and turtles and snakes in the Eno River. Along the way, we managed to play a few games too, including Windigo, Six Sticks, and Sock Wars. On the very last day of camp, we enjoyed s’mores around the fire and sang songs to commemorate a wonderful summer. Here are a few photos that capture just some of the magic we experienced this week.
Muskrat camp was all about exploration and creativity. We painted rocks to take home. When looking under logs, we discovered a whole world of little critters that help break down and nourish the forest floor. And it wouldn’t be a week at camp without a few classic Schoolhouse games. We played Sock Wars, Doxeneye, and Blob Tag, just to name a few. But the overall favorite time of each day was water time! Getting to splash and romp in the Eno River is such a treat and our campers soaked up every minute of it. We hope you enjoy a few photos of our last week of 2018 summer camp. See you next year!

Survival has never been more fun! This week, we were a band of shipwrecked sailors who had to brave the wild land along the Eno River. We made shelter, ate edible plants from the forest, and built a fire to roast dough boys, topped with hand made butter. In addition to our wrecked ship predicament we played a few of our favorite games, such as Six Feathers, Sock Wars, and Scout Mission. The week was complete with water time in the Eno River, wading with the turtles and wildlife. Enjoy a few photos from our week in this photo gallery.
