This week campers practiced their stealth, made bat crafts, and learned a little about echolocation. Along with these themed activities, campers built forts, splashed in the creek and river, relaxed during storytelling, explored the forests, tried their hand at whittling, and of course, played some amazing Schoolhouse games!

Trying something new and push ourselves a bit further was the theme this week. Whether your camper was jumping into the river, holding the biggest crawfish they could find, or trying new foods (sourwood leaf?), this week provided new obstacles for campers to experience. We spent our days climbing higher, walking farther, and testing our limits to find our confidence in the forest. We also used our new found courage as we played our classic Schoolhouse of Wonder games and enjoyed our afternoons in the Eno River.

This three-day adventure week was filled with joy as campers built forts large and small, hopped through obstacle courses, and designed their own leaf monsters. We beat the heat by splashing in the creek and catching frogs, crawfish, and salamanders.

This week at Three Bears, our older campers challenged themselves to master new skills with string, from friendship bracelets to rock slings. Our younger campers crafted their own snakes and used them to create story after story. We came together for epic games and critter-full water time each day.

Pursue the Paddle! Photo Gallery
Our seven adventurous campers embarked on Schoolhouse of Wonder’s maiden voyage this week! As we learned to paddle canoes, kayaks, and SUPs we made new friends, faced our fears, and perfected our pirate voices. When we weren’t honing our new skills you could find us jumping off our boats (in style!), relaxing with the wind in our hair, and collecting clamshells on the shore.
