Description

Dive into the four growth rings of Schoolhouse: Fire Building, Snake Identification, Whittling, and Plant Identification. Campers have a chance to hone their understanding of the natural world, build their skills and knowledge, and dedicate time to building their craft. In fire skills, campers will have a chance to practice fire building skills from starting a fire all the way up to friction fires. Our whittling Growth Ring will challenge campers to learn the basic safety rules to hand-carving utensils like knives and spoons. Plant and snake rings give campers a chance to expand their knowledge on the ecology of the Eno. Whether your camper is looking to earn their first ring or all 20 of them, this camp welcomes all levels of skill.

*In addition to the theme-related activities listed above, every week of camp will include some classic Schoolhouse activities such as: morning and closing circle, deep woods games, whittling, storytelling, and of course, looking for any critters we can find.
