Description
During this skills-focused week, we’ll hone our primitive fire-making techniques using tools like ferro rods, quartz and steel, and bow drills. When it’s time to cool off, we’ll head to the Eno River to explore its diverse habitats and the critters that call it home. As we search for creek creatures, we’ll discover how to gauge the health the Eno with indicator species. We'll also play classic Schoolhouse games, try out whittling, and search for any critters we can find! By week’s end, we’ll leave with a deeper appreciation for the wonders of water and the many uses of fire!
