Description
Join us as we track the critters and animals at West Point on the Eno! In this camp, we will practice our tracking skills as we explore the trails, creeks, and forest surrounding the Eno River. We will have a chance to pull out our field guides, binoculars, magnifying glasses, and nets in search of as many animals as we can find. We'll also look for signs of our more elusive mammalian friends – raccoons, deer, and river otters. Tracks, scat, and bones have stories to tell, and we can't wait to hear them. Even the games we play this week will encourage observation, stealth, and staying on the right track!
*In addition to the theme-related activities listed above, every week of camp will include some classic Schoolhouse activities such as: morning and closing circle, deep woods games, whittling, storytelling, and of course, looking for any critters we can find.
