June 23-27: Game On! Photo Gallery
This was a week for campers that can’t get enough of playing games. At Schoolhouse, because we Play with Honor, campers love to both compete and collaborate, run and hide, sneak around and shout aloud in our variety of games! We experienced an exhilarating week of fun and playing with friends in this games-themed week.

June 23-27 Bring on the Growth Rings – Red Group Photo Gallery
At Schoolhouse of Wonder, we believe that goal-setting, skill development, and follow-through are worth acknowledgment and celebration. This week we pursued knowledge and skill in our traditional core “Growth Ring” areas of Fire Building, Snake Identification, Whittling, and Plant Identification. Our whittling Growth Ring challenged campers to learn the basic safety rules to hand-carving utensils like knives and spoons. Plant and snake rings gave campers a chance to expand their knowledge on the ecology of the Eno. In this Growth Rings week, we will not only immersed ourselves in the challenge and excitement of earning our Growth Rings but also took our skills and knowledge to the next level!

June 23-27: Caterpillar Photo Gallery
This week we got at eye level with the tiniest creatures of the forest by going on bug hunts, making caterpillar crafts, and playing bat vs. moth. Along with these themed activities, campers had a chance to build forts, splash in the creek, relax during storytelling, explore the forests and fields, try their hand at whittling, and of course, play some amazing Schoolhouse games!

June 23-27: Water Waders Photo Gallery
In this outdoor adventure for our Pre-K Explorers we experienced the wonder of the outdoors as we played and became more familiar with the woods and creeks. We searched for colorful leaves and rocks, created nature art, stomped in the creek, and explored the forest as we let our minds and imaginations lead us into discovery.

June 23-27: Schoolhouse Sleuths Photo Gallery
The Case of the Missing Feathers has been SOLVED! Thanks to our trusty team of campers and their ability to solve riddles and play games with honor – they were able to play our legendary Schoolhouse game of Six Feathers AND restore magic to the forest!

June 23-27: Woodland Ensemble Photo Gallery
Throughout the week, the sounds of music wafted through the trees. Campers created their own songs accompanied by instruments made of materials from the nature around us. Cooling off in the creek and playing games with friends was the perfect way to spend the afternoons.

June 23-27: Lizard Photo Gallery
Extra hot = extra creek time and popsicles! The Lizard group enjoyed cooling off in the creek while finding crawfish, snakes, and mud. After some fun water time, we stayed in the shade and enjoyed coloring and pipe cleaner crafts inspired by the nature around us.
