August 4-8: Senses Of Adventure Photo Gallery
This week, campers used all five senses in a fun-filled sensory adventure! They listened for birds on nature rambles, felt different animal furs, searched for the gourd in Defeat the Lich, and smelled the campfire smoke while boiling pine needle tea to taste. It was a truly SENSE-sational experience!

This week, campers buzzed with excitement as they explored the life of bees! They created bee crowns, made bumblebee crafts, and played a fun game to protect the hive from a scarecrow. It was a sweet, nature-filled adventure celebrating these amazing pollinators.

July 28-August 1: It Takes A Village Photo Gallery
This week, campers took fort-building to the next level, creating their own forest village! They learned new knots and lashing skills and worked on a large building project with moving parts. Along the way, they whittled, decorated, and designed flags, bringing their village to life through imagination, exploration, and hands-on fun!

July 28-August 1: Will It Float? Photo Gallery
This week, campers built, floated, and raced their own miniature boats! Using natural materials, they whittled, wove, and designed their creations before testing them in the creek. It was a hands-on adventure as they watched their boats navigate the rocks and eddies of Umstead’s creeks!

This week, campers followed Caty the Caterpillar’s journey to becoming a butterfly! They protected her from spooky owls, helped her find the perfect spot for her chrysalis, and designed stylish butterfly wings. It was a week full of fun, creativity, and nature-filled adventures!

This week, campers immersed themselves in the colorful world of nature! They created 3D nature art, painted with natural dyes, and even painted their faces, all while exploring the vibrant beauty the outdoors has to offer. It was a week full of creativity and color!

August 18-22: Drawn to the Forest (10-12) Photo Gallery
What a fun time to explore! With great weather on our side, we spent time creating fires and trying out new treats by heating up our lunches (roasted grapes anyone?). We heard stories and played games before playing in the creek and finding lots and lots of critters and creepy crawlies!
