August 11-15: We’re the Wild Things Photo Gallery
Rain did not stop our rumpus! This week we ran around and enjoyed some of our favorite hiding games of the forest! We also loved the mud and had some particularly fun mud masks, but some wild ones enjoyed the splashing more! What a wonderful week of whimsy!
August 11-15: Raccoon Photo Gallery
Take a look into how the Raccoons took on embracing nature! The trees provided us with the perfect hiding spots. The creek gave us the best mud for sculpting. The woods gave us a perfect setting to make new friendships. We also loved to stop and see the critters we found along the journey!
August 11-15: Creek Stompers Photo Gallery
This outdoor adventure took us out into the woods, off trail and into adventure. We rolled logs, searched for signs of animals, and explored the forest as we let our minds and imaginations lead us into discovery. We capped it all off with games, crafts, and stories as we had a great week with extra time focused on exploring the critters of the creek, enjoying sensory play with mud and sand, and floating leaves and sticks downstream!
August 11-15: Stumpside Stories & Streamside Songs Photo Gallery
The forest and creeks provide the perfect setting for hearing, crafting, and sharing stories and songs at camp. This week we explored the exciting elements that compose a captivating story. We dove into the world of character creation and plot development as we crafted and shared our own stump-side stories and stream-side songs together. We also made our own characters from natural materials from the forest. It was a week all about engaging the imagination!
August 11-15: Eno Forest Magic Photo Gallery
The forest is a magical place of wonder that rewards imagination and creativity. Did your camper find a staff suitable for a wizard or whittle their own wand? Perhaps they built a fort for a fairy or summoned the birds with a call. We encountered mythical monsters in games, frolicked through the forest, sought out the extraordinary in the ordinary, felt the power of friendship, and experienced forest magic in an unforgettable week of camp!
August 11-15: Northern Water Snake Photo Gallery
Like the majestic northern water snake, campers explored the creeks and enjoyed the forest. In our games, we imitated the northern water snake by using the tools of camouflage and stealth to survive. Along with these themed activities, we built forts, splashed in the creek, relaxed during storytelling, explored the forests and fields, whittled, and of course, played some amazing Schoolhouse games!
August 11-15: Growth Ring Bling Photo Gallery
The counselors helped us set and achieve our goals in this growth-focused week! We tried our hand at whittling and fire-making, learned to identify native plants, and searched for wild snakes. Each day had something new to look forward to!
August 11-15: Carnival in the Canopy Photo Gallery
This week we created our own forest funfair! Each day we used our creativity and imaginations to create a carnival in the canopy. We played forest-themed carnival games, painted our faces, and got to play in our epic forts! It was a fun-filled, festive week that we’ll never forget.
