This was a week of forest festivities celebrating the kick off summer! Our campers planned the celebrations for our summertime commencement using their creativity, imagination, and natural resources! We made decorations out of nature, enjoyed some good food, played some of the best games SHOW has to offer and cooled off in the Eno River.

This fun-filled week for our youngest campers was a wonderful introduction to experiencing the outdoors. This week campers made musical instruments and stretched their jumping legs through obstacle courses. The brave campers even ate an edible insect snack!

In this action packed 2 day camp we played some of the best schoolhouse games that involve face paint, hidden scrolls, tagging, dodging, and sneaking! When we weren’t playing games, campers enjoyed many other schoolhouse classics like whittling, fort building, and spending time in the creek.

This week campers had a chance to make their own fires, and help cook delicious treats over a group fire! We learned the basic elements and techniques of fire making, and even got to try our hand and more primitive methods. Sparks, snacks, and smiles were had all around!

These campers were wild about wildlife! This week campers found turtles, snakes, and crayfish… oh my! When they weren’t finding critters, they were crafting their own animals, playing lots of games, and splashing in the creek.
