Our littles tuned into their spidey senses this week as they played games like Swing Spider Swing, made pinecone spiders, and learned about spider’s role in the ecosystem! We went on critter hunts, played lots of games with face paint, and had a blast in the creek!

Umstead’s forest was not the only thing campers guarded this week! Whether it was protecting themselves from the Lich as they searched for her heart or preventing their feathers being stolen during Six Feathers, everyone took their job as guardian very seriously this week!

Campers made sure to make this week count as they did a little bit of everything! The group had a chance to work on their whittling growth rings, played Defeat the Lich, Bakweli, and partook in many other Schoolhouse classics too!

The group had many uses for the Cedar Tree as they played in Umstead State Park this week! They used it’s leaves for cedar ceremonies, made art projects out of it’s wood, and hid in it’s shade when playing games and splashing in the creek!

This week we lived vicariously through the eyes of our feathered friends. It was a time of exploration, missions, scavenger hunts and bird-themed activities. We search for birds in the forest and waterways while exploring the life and lore of our feathered friends.
