June 29-July 3: Hummingbird Photo Gallery
Our flock of 5-6 campers took flight this week as they explored the forest and creeks! We had a fun-filled week that included cooling off with splash battles in the river, playing some egg-cellent games, and meeting lots of amazing critter friends.

In this adventure-filled week, campers took an aim at archery! They managed to hit bullseyes while searching for critters, playing games, and discovering the wonders of the woods. We stayed cool in the river during the heat, and had many epic splash battles!

Our fort fanatics built some truly epic creations this week! We whittled, painted, lashed, and constructed some impressive structures with our friends. When we weren’t building we were playing some of our favorite games, making up games in the creek, and searching for cute critters!

The campers brought their imaginations to life every day this week. They started with sticks, feathers, and berries and created paintbrushes to paint with, clay pots and sculptures, whittled tools and art, and built musical instruments from natural materials. It was so impressive to see what they would dream up!

We learned to survive and thrive this week! Campers worked together to raise the biggest stick fort we’ve ever seen, practice knot-tying and other skills, and play hard in team games. We adventured to the creek every day and had a blast splashing, building, and skipping rocks.

Campers were pros at going with the flow this week. We followed our imaginations in games and forest play, splashed in the creek, squished our fingers in the clay, and picked up lots of trash to keep our creek as clean as possible. The campers got to sculpt with the clay they found, and we celebrated everything water this week.

Campers discovered the magic and wonder of nature through creativity and play! This fun-filled week was a wonderful introduction to the outdoors for our youngest campers. Inspired by the curiosity and adaptability of opossums, campers explored the forest with curious noses and clever paws. Together, they searched for animal tracks, practiced moving quietly and listening closely to the sounds of the woods, and followed clues on an exciting scavenger hunt. Along the way, they uncovered the surprising secrets of one of nature’s most misunderstood—and truly remarkable—animals: the opossum!
