June 29-July 3: Dig Photo Gallery
It was a dig-tastic week at camp! Campers learned about animals that dig and burrow throughout our forest and looked for signs of those animals during nature rambles. They also pretended to be rabbits and make burrows during a fun game of Run, Rabbit, Run. Campers spent time whittling, building forts, and splashing in the creek!

What a magical week it was at camp! Campers played Schoolhouse classics like Defeat the Lich, listened to stories, and enjoyed some smore’s by the fire. They also spent time whittling, building amazing forts, and creating their very own fantasy map of Umstead State Park!
June 29-July 3: Creek Week! and Play under the Pines Photo Gallery
Campers unleashed their imaginations during a week packed with creativity, adventure, and water-filled fun! They played their own original games while using communication, ingenuity, and a great sense of humor to bring new ideas to life. Whether we were playing through the woods or exploring the ecosystems in and around the river and creeks, every day brought a new adventure. Campers also teamed up to build bridges, practice skipping rocks, and make big splashes. Back on dry land, they enjoyed forest games and sharpened their whittling skills.
June 22-26: Poplar Photo Gallery
We experienced the magic and wonder of nature through creativity and play! This fun-filled week our younger campers had a wonderful introduction to experiencing the outdoors. This magical week was inspired by the tulip poplar tree, from the big flowers to tiny “fairy wands” on the end of its twigs. Campers got to whittle and create their own magic wands this week, assemble fairy houses and gardens, and build stick castles big enough for everyone to play in.

Campers got really creative this week, building everything from shelters to wooden spoons using materials they collected from the woods. When taking a break from building they enjoy games of Predator Prey & cooling off at the creek.
