June 29-July 3: Hummingbird Photo Gallery
Our flock of 5-6 campers took flight this week as they explored the forest and creeks! We had a fun-filled week that included cooling off with splash battles in the river, playing some egg-cellent games, and meeting lots of amazing critter friends.
July 6-10: Soar Photo Gallery
We were flying high this week as we played bird-themed games, looked high in the sky with our binoculars, and made the cutest bird crafts! When we weren’t playing games or making crafts, we had a great time splashing in the creek and hearing our counselors tell fascinating stories.
July 6-10: Magnolia Photo Gallery
We had it made in the shade this week at Schenck Forest! Campers worked together to carry limbs for their stick shelters, picked out their favorite sticks to whittle, and practiced balancing on fallen logs. We found leaves and seeds to use in cool crafts and enjoyed the shade of the trees protecting us from the sun and rain alike.
July 6-10: Build Photo Gallery
Campers were busy builders this week! They spent the week building forts with their fellow campers and even got to design flags to use to decorate their fort! They also spent time whittling, creating tube cottages, and of course playing some Schoolhouse classics.
July 13-17: Sprout Photo Gallery
Campers knowledge about plants in our forest sprouted this week! They had a blast going on nature rambles looking for plants that are all colors of the rainbow and making leaf rubbings out of the special leaves they found. Campers also enjoys splashing in the creek and of course playing some classic Schoolhouse games like Camouflage and Animal Race!
July 13-17: Web Photo Gallery
We experienced the magic and wonder of nature through creativity and play! This fun-filled week for our younger campers was a wonderful introduction to experiencing the outdoors. Web was a week focused on connection, creativity, and teamwork. Together we played cooperative games, designed our own spider craft, and discovered how bugs interact with the rest of the forest.
