August 10-14: Newt photo Gallery
Slippery, scaly, and full of surprises, these little creatures were the stars of the week! Campers learned about newts, salamanders, and their look-alike neighbors, played games inspired by how they move and hide, and made some cute crafts to remember all our reptile and amphibian discoveries.
August 10-14: Timber Tactics photo gallery
This week we learned all about natural construction! We learned how to tie a few hitches, lashed spars together to create large structures and platforms, and even decorated and raised a flag onto a flagpole! We built some amazing forts this week.
August 10-14: Swallowtail photo gallery
Our youngest campers experienced the magic and wonder of nature through creativity and play! Inspired by the beautiful Swallowtail Butterfly, they explored sunny meadows, searched for colorful flowers, discovered the wonders of the outdoors, and created vibrant friendship bracelets inspired by the colors of nature. From playful adventures to creative discoveries, campers spread their wings, made new friends, and celebrated a wonderful week of growth, exploration, and fun!
August 10-14: Skink photo gallery
This week, campers learned all about the Common Five Line Skink that is native to our forest. They played exciting games like Skink Tag and Kick the Can. Campers went on nature rambles in search of cool plants and interesting creatures. They also enjoyed spending time building forts, whittling, and splashing in the creek!
August 10-14: Red Fox Photo Gallery
Campers explored the forest on a search for feathers, crafted bird nests out of natural materials, and flapped their wings in imaginative bird-themed games. We’ll embrace a bird’s-eye view of the forest and adventure to as many places as we can reach.
August 10-14: Bluebird Photo Gallery
These campers were ready to soar! We introduced bird migration and features with games and crafts, and searched for birds in our very own forest with hand-crafted binoculars. Every animal needs water, and we made it to the creek each day to play as ducks and geese! We’re ready to take off and fly into fall!
August 17-21: Acorn (Group 1 – Lucy) Photo Gallery
We searched the forest this week for beautiful treasures to make art with! Whether it’s quartz crystals, unique pinecones, or beautiful leaves – there’s always something to be found just around the corner! This week was fully of new friends, laughing during games, and making creations we’re proud of.
