Challenge made. Challenge accepted. Our Accept the Challenge campers went above and beyond this week, wriggling through laser mazes, flipping a magic carpet, completing Scout Mission, building bridges strong enough to hold weight, disguising themselves, and generally problem-solving their way through a fun and exciting week. We built fantastic forts and caught snakes and crayfish. All in a day’s work for a Challenge Accepter! We made sure to take time each day to splash around in the Eno River, a perfect opportunity to cool off in the hot weather and catch a glimpse of sun-bathing turtles.
We had a great time in Chickadee Camp. We played games like Kick the Can, Bum Bum Bum, and Mosquito Tag. We did some adventuring at water time and got to visit both Warren Creek and Crooked Creek. We didn’t even let the rain dampen our spirits; we used the opportunity to listen to more stories and sing more songs. What a week!
