Raccoon camp was a blast! Between running, hiding, sneaking, and can-kicking, our campers learned the joy of playing with honor and the benefit of brushing up on your camouflage skills. They sang songs, listened to stories, built forts, and hiked all over Umstead State Park. No Schoolhouse week would be complete without plenty of time splashing in the creek, and water-time was a favorite activity for many campers. Not only did the creek provide some much-appreciated cooling off time, but also gave us the opportunity to find a myriad of critters. We found plenty of crayfish, a few frogs, some slugs, and even the occasional skink. Take a look at the photos below to see how we spent our dirty, tired, and happy week together!
