Rhythm & Roots was an awesome week filled with all sorts of projects, explorations, and games. Our campers had a blast designing and creating all sorts of instruments using things we found in Brumley Forest and topped off the week by performing an awesome original song at our Friday closing circles. Although the musical theme was fun, it wasn’t all we got to do! Campers this week were especially excited about games and got to practice strategy, speed, and sneaking in games like Six Feathers, Scout Mission, and Werewolf. Whittling was another big part of the week and campers whittled pieces to instruments, hiking sticks, and many other creations. A week at Brumley wouldn’t be complete without some creek time and our campers this week enjoyed getting wet, catching crayfish, making mud and clay creations, and skipping rocks. It was a great week and we’d love to share some of our pictures with you!
