Whether focusing on safety, building techniques, or cooking, we spent this week learning all about fire. We got to practice making a few different kinds of fire structures and learned about different methods for igniting them, like using a bow drill or steel striker. When not learning about fires, we spent our time playing some classic Schoolhouse games like Six Feathers, and practiced our whittling. We hiked the trails and splashed in the creek and found critters all over! Take a look at the photos below to see how we ended each day dirty, tired, and happy.
