- Tell me about your creek expeditions this week. Which day was your favorite? What animals have you seen so far? (Hint – two kinds of turtles)
- Thursday morning one of the Umstead Park Rangers brought us a 5 foot snake skin from a black rat snake. What did it look like? Why are the scales on the top different from the scales on the bottom? Did you touch it? If you did what did it feel like?
- Thursday campers chose between making aquatic inspired nature art and whittling with vegetable peelers? Which one did you choose or did you try both? What did you make?
