We had a fun and funny week out at Umstead State Park. We spent our 4 days together exploring the trails and creeks, looking for adventure and critters. We were not disappointed! We found snakes, toads, frogs, and crayfish galore. We also used binoculars to search the skies and treetops for birds and squirrels. We carved out some time for whittling and fort-building, and of course listened to stories of all kinds. We heard funny stories, exciting stories, and stories with lessons.
