This week in Young Backpacker camp we discussed a few essentials for learning to backpack, like different types of maps, how to pack your backpack properly, leaving as little impact as possible, and shelter-building. The rain was a great challenge for testing our shelters. Along with working on new skills, we also played a few classic games like Windigo, Six Feathers, and flashlight Werewolf during the camp out. We learned how to build a fire from wet wood and made a few tasty treats too!
